Allyson Felix

Allyson Melissa Felix was birthed at Los Angeles, California on November 18th 1985. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix, is a minister who was ordained by Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a teacher of primary schools in Balboa Magnet. Felix displayed a knack for sports early, and discovered her athletic abilities while she was at the Los Angeles Baptist High School. She finished second in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships in only 10 weeks, after her first attempt. Felix signed a contract for a career in professional sports with Adidas in 2003. She then enrolled at University of Southern California to learn about elementary education. Felix received her first Olympic prize at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece. Felix ran 200 meters in 22.18s, setting an all-time junior world record. In 2005, the Helsinki World Championships saw her become the shortest woman ever to be crowned the winner of the 200-meter race. She defended that title, beating her Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix had a steady performance in London, Beijing Rio de Janeiro, and Tokyo. She was consistently in the top three of every event.
