Allyson Felix
Allyson Michel Felix was born on November 18th, 1985, in Los Angeles. The father of the child, Paul Felix is an ordained minister of the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. and her mother Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix's aptitude for sports was evident right from the first day she began her studies at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Felix finished second in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships within just 10 weeks after her first attempt. Felix agreed to sign a contract with Adidas for a career in professional sports with Adidas in 2003. She later enrolled in University of Southern California to learn about elementary education. Felix received her first Olympic medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place in Athens Greece. She set the Junior World Record taking 200m in 22.18 seconds. She was the youngest world champion in the 200m at the Helsinki World Championships and defended her title in 2007, beating her long-time Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix was an avid competitor in Beijing, London Rio de Jaeiro, and Tokyo. She was consistently at the top of the podium in every event.
